Hackteria / Marc Dusseiller & Yashas Shetty

If you ever wondered how to turn a webcam into a microscope, safely cultivate bacteria, hack DVD burners to make your own nano and bio experiments, or how to use other cheap, available material in order to build a hydrometer, or even an incubator and a bat detector, Hackteria is the right thing for you.
Hackteria is a collection of Open Source Biological Art Projects started in 2009 by Andy Gracie, Marc Dusseiller and Yashas Shetty. The three of them met up at the Garage Science Interactivos? in Madrid in 2009, where they talked about an availability gap in information about alternatives to lab protocols and lab equipment. One of their primary goals was to reevaluate the relationships between the observer and the observed that have been handed down to us from traditional research institutes.
At this year's Share conference, we'll have the priviledge to meet Marc Dusseiller and Yashas Shetty, the founders of Hackteria.
