Peter Kuschnereit is a landmark of electronic music and has been active since the beginning of clubbing in the 1990s. He grew up in Kreuzberg and started to work at the famous record store Hard Wax. Inspired by the first generation of artists in Chicago and Detroit, as well as by Berlin-based dub-techno label Basic Channel, he had a strong foundation to seriously focus on his music career.
Together with Surgeon, he was resident DJ at club Tresor, while at the same time he worked with René Löwe (AKA Vainqueur) on a joint project called Scion, which was the first edition for a new label Chain Reaction. Their 2002 album 'Scion Arrange And Process Basic Channel Tracks' was the first official CD produced with the then completely new software Ableton Live.
DJ Pete is famous for his variety and open-mindedness and his gig in Belgrade is likely to include a wide range of styles, from German minimal techno to British sound inspired by ultra-deep frequencies.
